Getting Started with Media Processing

Quick Steps

  1. Upload or Drag-and-Drop: Quickly upload files or drag and drop them onto the banner section of our homepage.

  2. Work Studio: After uploading, you'll be directed to our work studio where you can apply image optimization techniques such as resize, format conversion, and more by defining your desired parameters.

  3. Configuration Management: Customize your processing by saving configurations for future use, allowing you to apply single or multiple features in sequence.

  4. Initiate Processing: Select the images to process and apply your desired configurations with a single click.

  5. Process Tracker: Track progress in real-time through the Process Tracker. Monitor details such as input files, sizes, applied techniques, and status updates. Once completed, download your processed files.

Registration and Account Setup

  • Simple Registration: Sign up using your basic email ID, choose between personal or organizational use, and set your password.

  • Account Activation: Activate your account via email validation to complete registration and gain full access to our services.

Subscription Plans Overview

Standard and Premium Plans

  • Payment: Fully prepaid plans suitable for moderate utilization.

  • Customization Process:

    • Fixed Needs: Choose from predefined fixed plans and proceed with payment.

    • Self-Customization: Visit the Customize mode in Pricing, select desired features, and create your own plan.

    • Professional Assistance: Contact us to request a custom plan curated by our experts.

Credit Points

Credit points are the fundamental units used to calculate storage, bandwidth, and image optimization consumption.

  • Plan Allocation:

    • Fixed Plans: Include a set number of credit points.

    • Customized Plans: Allow you to choose the number of credit points based on your needs.

  • Credit Usage:

    • Feature Weightage: Each feature has a specific credit weightage applied during image processing based on your configuration.

    • Process Tracking: After initiating a process from the Work Studio, you can track it using the process tracker. This will show the input and output number of files, file sizes, applied configuration features and their properties, and the number of credit points utilized for each process.

  • Estimating Requirements:

Payment and Control

  • Prepaid: All plans (Standard, Premium, Custom) are fully prepaid.

  • Add-On Credit Points: Enhance your plan by purchasing add-on credit points as needed.

    • Availability: Applicable across Standard, Premium, and Custom plans.

    • Validity: Credit points remain valid until your plan expires, giving you control over spending.

  • Payment Invoice: Once the payment has been completed, you will receive an email with the payment and plan details, along with the payment invoice for your reference.

Media Operations

Work Studio

Our Work Studio offers a comprehensive media library where you can store images and utilize a variety of features to initiate the media optimization process.

  1. Upload Images: Upload your images to the Work Studio in the allowed formats and file sizes.

  2. Choose Features: In the right panel, select a feature and enter the necessary requirements. Example: For resizing, you can specify dimensions (height & width), percentage of the original size, or use predefined templates, then apply the changes.

  3. Create Sequences: Create a sequence by listing all the features you want to apply in the desired order. Example: To convert images to JPEG and then generate 10 different sizes, first apply the format conversion and then the resize feature for each size. The sequence will be: 1) Format 2) Resize.

  4. Save Configurations: The sequence you create is called a configuration. Save it for future use. The number of configurations you can save depends on your current plan. Name your configuration for easy reference and provide a postback URL to receive the output files, which is mandatory for saving the configuration.

  5. Use Saved Configurations in Work Studio: Select a previously saved configuration from the bottom right.

  6. Initiate Process: After selecting images and a configuration, initiate the image optimization process and monitor it in the process tracker.

Setup & Configuration

  • Here, you can set up and configure your features and manage them at any time.

  • Click "Add New Configuration" to choose the features, set their properties in the desired sequence, and save the configuration by naming it. A postback URL is required to save the configuration.

  • You can also edit or delete configurations to modify any settings.

Process Tracker

  • Track the image optimization or transformation process, view the status, and download the files.

  • Monitor credit usage for each process.

  • Review details such as input files, output files, input sizes, output sizes, features, and their properties to understand how your credit points are utilized.

  • Check the status of the process: initiated, in progress, or completed.

  • Once completed, download the file directly from the tracker.

  • For API-based processes, the output file will be directly posted to the URL you provided while creating the configuration.

API Library and Templates

API Structure

Refer to the API structure on the Developer page to process your images using our image optimization and transformation APIs.

API Keys

  • Access: Visit the API Keys section through the API Library on the homepage.

  • Creation: Generate API keys for your organization to facilitate integration. These keys can be regenerated upon expiration.

 

Organisation and Teams

Anyone who creates an organization account during registration will become the organization admin. This role grants full control over the organization’s account, including the management of teams, users, IPs, and subscription plans.

Default Team Creation:

  • Upon registration, a default team is created with the administrator as a default participant.

  • When new users are added without a specific team assignment, they will be automatically linked to the default team.

Roles and Access Levels:

  • Organization Administrators: Have full control over the account, including managing teams, users, IPs, payment, and subscription plans.

  • Team Leads: Have control over their respective teams and can manage team-specific media operations.

  • Members: Participate in team activities and have access to their team’s media operations.

Team Navigation:

  • All organization users can select their active team from the header to navigate to their respective team work studio.

  • Media operations, including configurations, storage, tracking, and downloads, are based on the team selected in the header.

Access to Media Operations:

  • Members and team leaders have access to their active team’s media.

  • Organization administrators have complete visibility and control over all teams and their media operations.

Administrators can create and manage teams in the account settings, while team leaders have the ability to add and manage the users.

 

Account Settings

Manage Plans

  • Subscription Details: The 'My Plans' section contains information about your subscription, including credit points usage, plan expiry and purchase dates, storage utilization, plan features, payment history, and invoices.

  • Accessibility: Individual users and organization administrators can access plan details. Team leaders and members cannot access plan details to ensure the confidentiality of the organization's financial information.

  • Plan Expiry: Unused credit points will expire with the plan, so plan accordingly to utilize them before expiry.

  • Plan Renewal: Expired plans can be renewed by selecting the same plan or purchasing a new one from our available packages.

  • Payment History: This section lists all past purchases related to your account, including plan purchases and credit points purchases. Payment invoices can be downloaded here.

Credit Points

Refer to “My Plan” section to track your credit point usage

  • Total Credits: Shows the total credit points purchased during the plan and any add-on purchases.

  • Used Credits: Displays the number of credit points used since the plan purchase date.

  • Available Credits: Indicates the number of credit points available until the plan's expiry date.

  • Add-on Credits: Active plans allow the purchase of additional credit points, regardless of the current balance.

Manage Profile

  • Individual Accounts: View your basic account details, such as username, email ID, and user type (business or individual).

  • Organization Accounts: Administrators can view and edit basic account details and view other organization details, such as mobile number, GST number, and billing address. Team leaders and members can view their basic details.

Manage IP Addresses

  • Accessibility: Robust security is ensured with IP management, exclusive to organization admins and individual users with standard, premium, or custom plans. Free users must upgrade their plans to use this feature.

  • IP Limits: Based on the subscribed plan, you can increase your limits, customize the plan, or deactivate existing IPs and activate new ones.

  • IP List: Receive email notifications for new IP registrations. The new address will be listed in the security module.

  • Manage Status: Registered IPs remain in your list, and you can manage their status by activating or deactivating them.

Manage Teams

Accessibility: Exclusive to organizations with active subscription plans (standard, premium, or custom). Only organization administrators can create new teams, add members, or edit and delete teams.

Manage Users

  • Accessibility: Available to organization administrators and team leaders with active subscription plans (standard, premium, or custom).

  • Add New User: Invite new users by email. Team leaders can add another team leader or a member. The invitee must use the activation link in the email to activate their account.

  • User Limits: User restrictions are based on the plan. To increase the number of users, customize your plan or contact support.

  • Manage Users: Edit users' team assignments or delete users from the account.

Customer Support

Support Tickets

  • Accessibility: Individual or organization users with an active purchase plan (standard, premium, or custom) can interact with the ImageCogni support team by raising queries in ticket form.

  • How It Works: Submit your query and describe it, including any file attachments if necessary. The support team will address your queries and update the status of your query until resolution. Confirmation will be requested to close the tickets.
